But Baby it's COLD outside!

This has been one of the coldest weeks ever. We topped the scales today at a whopping -10. I have no intrest in doing anything except curling up and knitting in front of the TV. I can't wait for spring!
I am almost done with the second Nagini sock and will post pictures soon. After I finish that I have to decide what patten I want to use for the sock swap I am in. So many choices so little time.

I have sent out posts to my sock swap partners! I love shopping and with the holidays over I don't get another good chance for awhile. Keeping a secret is hard, but I will do my best!

I received my name for the Harry Potter Sock Kit Swap and ideas are spinning in my head. I can't wait to start putting together my package, it's my first swap and I am a bit nervous. I am still reading a lot of other peoples blogs to get ideas. I am a huge planner and want to be very sure of everything I want to include.

Knitting as a Tribe

I picked up a magazine the other day and I haven't wanted to put it down. Check out http://www.livingcrafts.com/ . I am so in love with the knitted farm article that I am trying to get everyone I know to work on this with me. A group of 12 knitters from all over each worked to make squares of this playmat and then swapped so all of them had a complete set.

There are times....

when you just have to let it go. Panic only gets you so far, well lets admit it, panic pretty much leaves you in the same place you were before. My mantra for the day is "There is only so much you can do, and after that, just make sure your name isn't mentioned."
I am going to spend the afternoon with a cup of tea and a set of double pointed knitting needles. Woe to the person who causes me to frog!!!

I swore I wasn't going to start a blog, and yet here it is. The posts will probably be short and sporadic. They may end up being all about knitting and raising an only child. I can't promise enlightenment or amusement, but if nothing else they may be cathartic for me.
